I think most Consulting clubs see their goal/mission in a similar manner. At Duke we try to do the best job we can - be the best Consulting club there is. That requires a good strategy (consultants...) and strong implementation.
Some of the key aspects of our strategy are: ensuring that Cabinet leaders are committed to the club year long, educating our students about consulting and then helping them to get on close lists and perform great duirng interviews, and offering consulting training to Duke wide graduate students to contnue to enhance Duke strong brand among consulting firms by offering university wide talent.
How do accomplish this? A fully functional, tool-oriented, role based portal - a one stop shop for all stakeholders (that includes you!) - case libraries, practice schedulers, blogs, calendars, knowledge MGMT library etc. Actionable, projebased & dynamic Consulting Club Roadmap calendar covering the learning, networking and training aspects. Highly selective cabinet selection process (~20%). Project-based, “consulting like”, Cabinet staffing model - securing ongoing yearlong commitment, and much more.
Please see the calendar and home page for more specific info on future events / events held (you can browse back and see what we have accomplished).
